X-box360 Red Ring Of Death

I recently had to replace my Xbox360 due to the so called "Red Ring of Death", I tried all sorts of avenues, just not the right ones. I tried to send in the unit in hopes of receiving a new replacement at no cost and was denied due to some kind of list of "possible causes" like; act of god!! What's next?

I see more and more options for video games every day. My kids love to play Xbox 360, but will occasionally play the old school N64 Mario. A nice change from the shooter games like Halo and GOW 2 that are on for hours at a clip.
The kids also have the DS toys and I see there are downloads for these as well. The games systems are getting smaller and more advanced all the time
